In the presence of Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Dawood S. Atrushi, President of the University of Duhok, Dr. Karwan F. Sami, Vice President of the University of Zakho for Students Affairs, Dr. Ahmed M. Salih, Vice President of the University of Duhok, Dr. Rund Hammoudi, Director of the International Relations at the University of Duhok, and Dr. Dilan Rostem, Consultant of the President of the University of Duhok, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two aforementioned universities. Noteworthy, the memorandum was signed on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the presidency of the University of Duhok.

The MOU consists of seven (7) terms that emphasize the mobility of staff and co-work between the University of Zakho and the University of Duhok. Consequently, both universities will benefit from the exchange of academic staff.

At the end, the presidents of both universities pointed out the significance of this memorandum to conducting joint works, developing the scientific edifice, and holding conferences and activities between both and other universities.
